Yom HaShoah Event a Success

Above New Bedford Mayor Jon Mitchell joins Cindy Yoken, co-chair of the Holocaust Committee, at the podium in front of the Holocaust Memorial on Sunday, April 26, for the annual Yom HaShoah Holocaust Memorial Observance.  Below left guest speaker Robert (Fried) Fokos is joined by his immediate family, left to right, Dana, Ency, (Robert) and Michelle Fokos.  On the right is a picture of Robert as a child with his grandfather and younger brother Peter (middle) in March 1944, on the first day of the German occupation of Hungary.
