Yom HaShoah

Sunday’s Yom HaShoah event at the Holocaust Monument, followed by a program at Tifereth Israel featuring guest speaker Dr. Sharon Delmendo, was a great success!  Dr. Delmendo spoke about Holocaust rescue and resistance in the Philippines.  Over 100 people attended this annual event.

Ivone Rego-Cass of New Bedford said, “It was such an amazing experience to attend yesterday's Holocaust Memorial ceremony.  To share in the remembrance with our beautiful community was comforting.  It confirmed that people have not forgotten and yet proved there is lots to be done to continue to preserve history.”

Annual Campaign

Where has the year gone?  I know.  It’s only May.  But the fiscal year ends June 30.  If you have not contributed or pledged to our 2013-14 campaign, expect to hear from us in the coming week with a renewed appeal for your support.  With you, there is no Federation!  And with no Federation, our community would be greatly diminished.  Thank you in advance for your generous support.

Shabbat Shalom,

Amir
