Join us for the 33rd annual Holocaust Memorial Observance on Sunday, April 27, 6:30 PM, at the Holocaust Monument in Buttonwood Park followed by a memorial program at Tifereth Israel at 7:30 PM. Guest speaker Dr. Sharon Delmendo will speak about Holocaust rescue in the Philippines.
The following night, April 28, Dr. Delmendo will speak at a military presentation, A Somber and Durable Tapestry: Jewish World War II Service in Bataan and the Philippine Resistance, at the Low Tide Yacht Club, adjacent to the Fort Rodman Military Museum, at Fort Taber, New Bedford. 7:00 PM.
Making education more affordable for our students is a priority of the Federation. Children of active members who will be enrolled in college in 2014-15 are encouraged to apply now for a scholarship from the Jewish Federation of Greater New Bedford and/or the National Council of Jewish Women.
